Hayley and Nathan’s Sudbury Hall Wedding

Something to brighten up these winter days! Hayley and Nathan’s summer wedding at Sudbury Hall, followed by a garden party in Derby.

Sudbury Hall is such a grand setting for a wedding, and provided the perfect setting for this emotional and intimate ceremony. The day was made even more special with the surprise arrival of Hayley’s brother who flew in from New Zealand to give Hayley away.

Previous to this I had not photographed a wedding at Sudbury Hall, despite it being local to me and going there to shoot portraits on quite a few occasions. It is a great venue for ceremonies and the grounds are perfect for portraits so hopefully it wont be too long before I head back there.

Laura and Roddy’s wedding at The County Ground

Here are some of my favourite photos from Laura and Roddy’s church wedding followed by a Wedding Breakfast and Reception at The County Ground, Derby.

I spent the morning with Laura, her family and Bridesmaids at the family home in Derby before taking the short journey over to St. Giles for their wedding ceremony. Congregations from three churches based around the country filled the Church for what was an emotional and loving ceremony.

For me as the photographer it was so clear how madly in love Laura and Roddy are. Being the Wedding Photographer it’s not unusual to observe this but with Laura and Roddy it was so strong.

During the ceremony they were so involved in each other, it seemed as if they had blocked out all their surroundings and that they only thing they could see or hear was each other. Very loving and very intimate. I hope you enjoy.

Melissa and Jamie’s Wedding in Lincolnshire

This week I want to share some of my favourite images from Melissa and Jamie’s Lincolnshire Wedding. The wedding was a long time in the making, with Melissa and Jamie getting engaged when they were 18, with the plan to have their wedding after Melissa had finished her teaching studies. The plan came reality and it was a real pleasure to be part of their day.

Melissa and Jamie were married in a small village in Lincolnshire where they grew up before moving to Lincoln. I started my day with Melissa at her parents house before moving on to the local Church for the ceremony.

Emma and Phil’s Engagement Shoot in Derby

Here are some of my favourite images from Emma and Phil’s Engagement Shoot in Derby. I met Emma and Phil at a Teppanyaki restaurant in Derby for what was a high speed, action packed engagement shoot. We did also throw in the odd portrait. Emma and Phil get married at the Derby wedding venue Masa in the summer.

Fay and Dan’s New York Destination Wedding Previews

What a start to 2013! The opportunity to photograph Fay and Dan’s New York Wedding. And what a wedding it was! A busy couple of days shooting both the Wedding Rehearsal, Pre-Wedding Dinner and Wedding Day.

I began the day with Fay and her bridesmaids at The Standard High Line, before getting a Taxi over to Dan and his Groomsmen at The Waldorf Astoria. Back again to The Standard to Fay, to weave through busy New York traffic over to St. Bart’s Church for the ceremony. Very busy!

The reception was held at Loft Eleven’s Studio 450 with breathtaking views of the New York Skyline.
