Image of the week | Week 67

This week’s image is from Laura and Tristan’s rustic styled wedding at Manor Hill House in Bromsgrove, with the moment coming during her preparations.

The bridal prep had been pretty hectic with Laura’s 6 bridesmaids and other members of the bridal party getting ready in the two adjoining suites.

Once the bridesmaids were ready there was nothing left for them to do but wait on bated breath for this moment.

Needless to say it was very emotional and you can see more of Laura and Tristan’s Manor Hill House wedding in the galleries.

Aleece and Tim’s Mexico Destination Wedding

Today I share the last part of Aleece and Tim‘s destination wedding celebrations in Cancun, Mexico with my favourite moments from their wedding at Fiesta Americana Condesa. 

Fay and Dan’s destination wedding in New York City was where I first met Aleece and Tim, only days after they got engaged. Since then I’ve been privileged to be able to photograph the events leading up to their own destination wedding in Mexico.

After a few days of topping up tans and drinking cocktails the wedding party reached the business end of the celebrations. So in the afternoon of their wedding day I spent some time photographing the separate preparations of both Aleece and Tim at the Fiesta Americana.

With panoramic views across the Caribbean Sea, Aleece and Tim’s outdoor ceremony settings were breathtaking, the vivid blue tones of the sky and the sea accentuated by a strip of warm yellow sands.

Animated melodies of the Mariachi band provided the perfect upbeat soundtrack whilst guests sipped on cocktails before heading inside for the wedding reception.

The evening celebrations continued with hands only taking a break from dancing and clapping to grasp tequila shots and toast to the happy couple.

Image of the week | Week 66

This scene from the bride’s preparations in Bridlington was one of my favourite images from Lisa and Scott’s wedding on the Yorkshire coast.

I love the positions that Lisa’s entourage have taken up when helping her to get ready, it adds a real balance to the scene and helps to tell a story of a very important time of the wedding day.

Aleece and Tim’s Pre-Wedding Cruise in Mexico

My sunny weddings were extended into autumn this year when I flew out to Mexico in October to join Aleece and Tim for their wedding celebrations at the Fiestsa Americana Condesca in Cancun.

Having themselves flown down to Mexico from Houston, bringing along friends and family from all over the US it only seemed right to get introduced and start the celebrations early.

They say perfection comes from practice. So in their perfect settings Aleece, Tim, the wedding party and their coordinator took the opportunity for a wedding rehearsal.

Following the wedding rehearsal, more guests joined the wedding party to drink some and smoke some under the setting Mexican sun.

Holly and Adam’s wedding at The Peak Edge Hotel was a wedding that I really enjoyed shooting this year. Packed with some amazing moments centred on a fantastic couple, it’s no surprise that some of my favourite images came from their day.

This week’s image was taken as I observed Holly’s preparations at The Peak Edge Hotel moments before she walked downstairs to her ceremony.
