Naomi & Tom’s Masa Wedding Preview

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing some amazing moments with Naomi and Tom during their Masa wedding. A day where not only did they declare their love for each other, but also beautifully revealed the gender of their baby to their family.

With Naomi changing her mind several times on discovering the gender of their baby, but recently deciding that she couldn’t wait any longer, Tom had decided to keep Naomi in the dark along with their friends and family. However with a little bit of imagination all that was about to change.

Unbeknown to Naomi, Tom had filled one of three balloons with confetti, the colour of which would reveal the gender of their bump. During his speech Tom then asked the flower girls to come up and pick a balloon to pop.

Such a great way to end that suspense for Naomi and it made for one of many great moments to photograph.

Nicky and Alex’s Wedding Previews

Last weekend I photographed Nicky and Alex’s wedding at Morley Hayes in Derbyshire and having known them for some time now it was an occasion I was looking forward to be being a part of.

After spending a little bit of time with Alex and his Groomsmen at the bar I headed over to Morley Hayes Hotel to photograph Nicky’s preparations. Joined by her daughter Paige, Flower Girl, Paige Boy and three Bridesmaids it was a room full of energy and enjoyment.

I’ll be sharing more details and photos from Nicky and Alex’s wedding in the coming weeks but for now here’s a preview of some of my favourite images of which you can also see and share on my Facebook page.

Nadia and Spencer’s Cathedral Quarter Hotel Wedding

Taking a look back to Nadia and Spencer’s wedding at the Cathedral Quarter Hotel today by sharing a few of my favourite images of an Aerospace inspired wedding from a couple who apply their expertise at the famous car and aero-engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce.

Nadia’s day started off at their home in Derby where the preparations were not just limited to hair, makeup and fashion but also in perfecting the timing of the bridesmaid’s entrance at the Cathedral Quarter. It was worthwhile as their steps were perfectly in synch with Johann Pachelbel’s Canon.

But not to be outdone, later that evening Spencer showcased his moves on the dancefloor with a beautiful first dance that left the wedding guests open mouthed.

Nadia and Spencer’s Cathedral Quarter Hotel Wedding Previews

To continue with the Strictly Come Dancing theme we’ve got some previews from Nadia and Spencer’s Cathedral Quarter Hotel wedding featuring their beautiful first dance.

With Nadia and two of her Bridesmaids being engineers it’s no surprise that the wedding day was a well oiled machine, with preparations running right up to the final minute with Nadia and her entourage perfecting their entrance with a dry run at home before they set off for the Catherdral Quarter Hotel.

And so with all that practice, perfection was the result!

Emma and Matt’s Masa Wedding

A lot of people would grimace at the thought of downing a tequila shot, regurgitating cloudy memories of times spent under the influence of such a small but mighty thing. For Emma and Matt though, tequila is where their story started and is partly responsible for who and where they are today, a cool couple with a beautiful little family, so it was fitting to see them pay tribute to their tiny little Mexican friend at their Masa wedding.

With an opening paragraph like that you’ll not be surprised to hear that Emma and Matt opted to keep the formalities to a minimum and planned for a laid back afternoon at Masa.
