Cally and Norton’s Swancar Farm Wedding Previews

My first wedding at Nottinghamshire’s popular wedding venue Swancar Farm and it was great to be there with Cally and Norton and to photograph the celebrations with their friends and family.

It was a true winter wedding with strong winds blowing across the surrounding farmland so the converted barn and outhouses of Swancar Farm provided welcomed shelter away from the elements.

Sarah and Tom’s Riding School, Calke Abbey Wedding

As we move into a period of big celebrations it’s a perfect time for me to be sharing some of my favourite images from Sarah and Tom’s wedding at The Riding School at Calke Abbey where their wedding celebrations were nothing short of great!

Most weekends a wedding guest or family member of the Bride and Groom normally tells me that I must have one of the best jobs most of the time I would agree. However during my first chat with Sarah and Tom, when he explained that his job was partly to travel to some of the most exotic corners of the earth to research and sample some of the finest alcoholic drinks available, I felt a little trumped!

 

Sarah and Tom utilised this expertise and introduced their wedding guests to some creative cocktails throughout the day, making sure that any potential rusty dance moves were well oiled.

Then to take the celebrations up a couple of notches, Tom then turned his hand to another one of his passions and exchanged the swizzle sticks for drumsticks and in the true sense of the phrase… smashed it!

Rebecca and Chris’ Carriage Hall Wedding

A few of my favourites from Rebecca and Chris’ wedding are next up on the blog, with The Carriage Hall in Nottinghamshire inspiring a travel theme for their wedding reception.

The perfectly restored Plum Tree Station’s good shed provided a contemporary setting for Rebecca and Chris’ day and with them adding a few personal touches everything came together brilliantly.

I joined Rebecca at her home to photograph her preparations prior to their church ceremony in Beeston.

Sarah and Tom’s Calke Abbey Wedding Previews

With an expertise in specialty alcohol, the appreciation for live music and a host of friends and family from around the UK the foundations were set for some amazing celebrations at Calke Abbey for the wedding of Sarah and Tom.

With help from Honeysuckle & Castle, Sarah and Tom designed a wedding that perfectly suited their style, personalities and story and with so much put in it was a pleasure to be a part of.

Sarah, her four sisters and cousin all got ready at Southwood House Farm before heading over to The Riding School at Calke Abbey where the rest of the day’s events would unfold.

Fataha and Adam’s Sopley Mill Wedding

Intimacy, love, laughter, great dancing, fantastic bride and groom and beautiful settings, this list could be endless and as you’ll see Fataha and Adam’s wedding at Sopley Mill had it all and with a little help with some selfies it was great to be the one to capture all of it for such a great couple.

So when Fataha and Adam made the trip up to Derby from their home in Dorchester it was great to take the opportunity to catch up over breakfast, reminisce about their perfect day in April and get excited about designing their wedding album.

The small part that I played in Fataha and Adam’s story started in 2014 when we met up for a drink in Derby. Having met whilst on separate holidays in Cancun, Mexico they were now excited to be in the early stages of planning their wedding having just booked Sopley Mill as their venue. Their vision for their wedding photography was acute as having professional wedding photographers in Hassan & Shahara as cousins they knew exactly what they wanted. We were on the same page!

So fast forwarding to 2015 to see everything come together was brilliant! Surrounded by enthusiastic friends and family Fataha and Adam declared their love. They did it clear, they did loud and they definitely did it in style!
